Read more@KitchenChemProf Although there were some lights along the river, there was minimal light pollution. The sky was quite dark and the Milky Way was visible to naked eye. The brightness in the image away milky way could be due to processing. Have to do a better job.

Read more@supremus Astronomy started long time ago when I was 9-10 years old; built a homemade telescope from a kit in high school. Astro photos in the last 15-20 years. Long exposures on film but digital made it easier.
