If I remember correctly, patients who are hospitalized but are not on ventilators are the ones that get benefit from it. If these folks were in that category, then it was right treatment.

Read more@gauravsabnis Not sure if that is true for US doctors. They can prescribe any medication for anything - called off-label prescribing. Drug companies get into trouble and sued for encouraging/enticing doctors to indulge in off-label prescribing.
